Design and Implementation of PCI-VME Bus Bridge Based on FPGA
Abstract
In order to solve the problem of the discontinuation of the PCI-VME bridge chip, an FPGA-based PCI bus to VME bus bridge is proposed to realize the protocol conversion between the PCI bus and the original VME bus. The FPGA-based PCI bus IP core protocol analysis and the PCI-VME bus protocol conversion finite state machine design algorithm are described in detail, and the system-level interconnection test is carried out using the eight-axis electric locomotive network control system test platform. The test results verify that the bus bridge can reliably perform PCI protocol analysis and VME data bus communication. The development of this equipment provides basic technical support for promoting the autonomous process of my country's VME bus-based locomotive control system.
