

Study on the Way of Ensuring Ride Stability of Railway Freight Cars
Abstract
Dynamic performance is the basis of ensuring the safe and reliable operation of railway freight cars. As the customer’s demands and technology advance on railway cars grow, the carrying capacity and operating speed of cars also increase, forming two directions of heavy haul and high speed in development of railway freight cars. The urgent demand of high-speed freight cars makes the hunting stability become the key factors of ensuring the ride safety of cars. This paper presents the design method, the simulation and test means to prevent hunting instability from occurring on cars under normal operation and provide safe operation. In order to ensure the hunting stability of wagon during operating, periodical detecting on conditions and parameters of parts with key features shall be conducted.
