Application of Ultrasonic Inspection Technology to Measure the Air-tightness of Inter-city EMU
Abstract
Based on the blockage ration when the inter-city EMU running in the tunnel, running pressure wave, air-tightness of cars, and analysis of airflow, the 140km/h grade inter-city EMU has higher tightness requirements to the normal mass transit vehicles. In case of air leakage during the air tightness test for inter-city EMU it is difficult to search the defect through traditional method such as hearing, touching and check by soap water. A testing method based on ultrasonic leakage inspection technology is proposed in this paper through this method the possible holes, crevice or poor sealing position in the cars can be located rapidly and correctly. The efficiency to measure the air leakage can be greatly improved. In the process method for ultrasonic leakage inspection is studied. The evaluation standard is defined. And the operation platform and management software for ultrasonic leakage inspection is established. The testing results for ultrasonic leakage inspection can be analyzed and output.
