Abstract

Low temperature hydrogen-oxygen premixed gas was used as fuel in the combustion light gas gun (CLGG). At the beginning of the study, closed burner was adopted as analog device of CLGG to study the combustion properties. Combustion light gas gun (CLGG) uses lowtemperature hydrogen-oxygen premix gas as a working fluid. In the early stages of research, a closed burner was used to study the combustion characteristics. Finite-rate chemistry model was used to simulate the combustion process of the low temperature (190K) hydrogen-oxygen premixed gas in closed burner. Mass ratio of hydrogen-oxygen premixed gas was 1:2 and the contours distribution of the pressure, temperature and vapor fraction in the device was got. The results show that, in the closed burner, lots of heat was generated as the mixture gas was lighted. And then the combustion gas expanded and vibrated in the finite space which caused the pressure wave. Results of the study could offer references for the controlling of the CLGG combustion.
