Attributes of UV Curable 80% Solids White Primers

Abstract

POSS chemical technology has been utilized to render printable, UV curable white primer coatings for glass and metal. Despite containing over 80% TiO2, the coatings exhibit a viscosity of 30–50 seconds via #3 EZ Zahn cup (77 °F). In addition to desirable flow, zero VOC, and UV cure, the coatings provide good opacity, flexibility and adherence to glass and metal.
