Signal Acquisition and Analysis for Rail Steel Flaw Based Laser Ultrasonic Method
Abstract
Railway steel flaw inspection has great significance for train safety operation. This paper describes signal acquisition and analysis for rail steel flaw inspection with laser ultrasonic method. With acquisition system DAQ600 designed for rail steel flaw detecting, the rail steel flaw signal can be acquired and measured efficiently, which provides a good solution for railway life evaluation. After amplified and sampled by DAQ600, the ultrasonic signals of rail steel flaw were converted into 16bit data. Through filtered and adopted multiple average, the ultrasonic data can be displayed on the terminal computer in real time. And the flaw position can be located accurately with the EMAT (electromagnetic acoustic transducer) probe.
