Study on Microstructure Variation of Different Areas of Fractured Rock under Triaxial Compression with Chemical Corrosion and Permeation

W.X. DING

Abstract

The physical and mechanical properties of different areas of fractured rock are different under external loading, so it has important significance to study the microstructure variation of different areas of fractured rock. Real-time computerized tomography (CT) scanning experiments in the failure process of sandstone specimens under triaxial compression with chemical corrosion and permeation are conducted. Based on the test results of standard deviation of CT number, the characteristics of microstructure variation of different areas of fractured rock effected by chemical corrosion and permeation are analyzed. The research results indicate that the anisotropy degree is increased under permeation and water pressure environment. Whether under penetration or under without penetration environment, the change rule of standard deviation rates in the level of crack tip has large difference with other scan layers.
