Abstract

The absorptivity to laser energy of the different material is different. The temperature, pressure, surface roughness can all affect the absorptivity. The energy which the welding sample and the weld joint absorb are different, because the properties of the welding sample and the weld joint are different and their absorptive to the laser energy are different during the braze welding. In this paper, the numerical simulation method to the laser braze welding process is instructed firstly. The fluid’s fluxion effect and the latent heat of material fusion are considered. Secondly, the material absorptivity to laser is analyzed. The calculation results show that the effect of the different absorptivity to laser energy on the welding temperature and stress distribution is obvious during laser braze welding processing. The heat affect region, the welding temperature and stress distribution can all change with the different absorptivity.
