

Dynamic Response of Circular Sandwich Plate Subjected to Blast Loading
Abstract
The dynamic response of the clamped metal foam core circular sandwich plate to blast loading is analytically and numerically studied. Assuming a constant core strength in compression, membrane mode solution for the problem is obtained. Also, finite element calculation is carried out to numerically study the problem. Comparisons of the analytical solution with the numerical result are presented and good agreements are found.
