Design and Application of Double Active Integrated Fresh-keeping Packaging in Fresh Keeping for Banana
Abstract
Banana is one of the respiration climacteric fruit which is not easy to store and transport. Use the functional film E (films having high oxygen transmission rate (OTR) and high carbon dioxide transmission rate (CO2TR)) and the functional film D (film having high water vapor transmission rates (WVTR)) to design the double active integrated fresh-keeping packaging (DAFIFP) with the multi-active integration design theory. The inside environment of the double active integrated fresh-keeping packaging was evaluated by the factors such as the headspace gas in bag, vitamin C (VC),appearance quality, soluble solids content and weight loss rate. The results show that, the double active integrated fresh-keeping packaging to maximize the nutritional content of bananas to maintain the good appearance of banana quality. D20E80 integrated fresh packaging preservation effect is excellent which can make the shelf life of banana up to 15 days at 25oC.
