Abstract

Hermeneutics is the method of interpretation of text meaning and the philosophy of the ontology of text meaning. The time and space that Sakyamuni Buddha described on Grdhrakuta mountain in Saddharmapundarika-sutra left infinite reverie for the later generations. This paper used hermeneutics as its research method, the author attempts to contrast the Buddha dimension and interpreter’s dimension, to interpret the time-space that Buddha spoken in Saddharmapundarikasutra. The paper believes that the description of both huge space in Grdhrakuta mountain where about one hundred thousand people listened to Shakyamuni Buddha preaching together, and the time concept that Buddha has unlimited longevity, still live in Grdhrakuta mountain preaching, are not on the trayodhatava beings dimension, but the dimension of the Buddha.
