Teaching Innovation for the Course of Principles of Automotive Engine

According to the training objective of the university that “implements elite education, train elite talents”, this paper conducts some teaching innovations and practices for the course “principles of automotive engine”. For the teaching contents, the latest technologies and devices for modern automotive engines are introduced in detail to embody the advancement of the course. For the teaching methods, the research-oriented teaching mode is implemented to improve the practical and innovation abilities of students, which can also fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students. Finally, the exam pattern mainly concentrates on evaluating the comprehensive abilities of students. The evaluation and feedback of teaching quality shows that the innovations and practices can achieve better teaching results.
