Empirical Research on Integrating Folk Art Into Interior Design Teaching

Abstract


The extensive and profound traditional Chinese folk art is formed by historical precipitation; that is to say, tradition is both the concomitancy of culture and historical recognition of culture. The shadow of folk art cannot be ignored since the role of culture in design field is everywhere, and it integrates human cultural view, morality, aesthetics and values that formed for a long time. This paper analyzes the feature and connotation of folk art, and studies the value of folk art. Meanwhile, it analyzes and describes the method of integrating folk art into interior design courses so as to, based on satisfying contemporary interior design teaching, integrate study of folk art and reinforce students’ quality of national culture.
