Latest Trends in Ignition Systems and Related Aerospace Mechanisms Technologies to Empower Interior and Exterior “Ballistic Transientsâ€
Abstract
In order to Empower “Ballistic Transientsâ€, Ignition Systems and Related Aerospace Mechanisms are the key technological areas to perform their mission critical functions under harsh environments. This is a fascinating subject covering the full ambit of Engineering offering unlimited scope for innovation, design, and manufacturing skills. However many new technological advances have swept into face new challenges in this mission critical areas. Presently many space missions, Defence missions, Rendezvous interplanetary crafts, Stationary space platforms, landing modules, Earth probes. Optical astronomy and Soft docking systems are utilizing newer technologies. These activities are presently utilizing laser initiation, pyrogen jets, digital initiation, thermoelectric initiation, Energetic materials, Smart mechanisms, Shaped memory alloy mechanisms, Mems actuators and Non Explosive Actuators to deal with this key technological areas. Looking forward for a giant leap towards smart, stronger, robust, reliable systems to empower ballistic applications, this paper covers all these new areas of interest, bringing an insight exposure in to the advances and futuristic challenges.
