Research on Dynamic Mechanical Behavior of Silicon Rubber Under Different Temperatures
Abstract
By use of split Hopkinson pressure bars(SHPB) technique with temperature controllers, a kind of silicon rubber is investigated for understanding its dynamic constitutive behaviors at high strain rates (740-1740s-1) and different temperatures (-40℃, 20℃, 80℃). Experimental results show that silicon rubber is strain-rate sensitive and shows viscoelastic characteristics at room temperature. Moreover this kind of silicon rubber is temperature sensitive at the same strain rate, but is not strain-rate sensitive at high or low temperature.
