Deceleration-Time Data for the Verification of Calculation Models of the Penetration with Erosion in Target
Abstract
Primary experimental data recorded according to piezometric technology, such as: oscillograms of the elongated steel rods deceleration history in the steel targets was previously presented in the papers published at the 25th, 26th, 27th and 29th ISB. Data was being continuously recorded from the beginning to the end of collision within the range of impact velocities from 1000 to 1500 m/s using a special version of piezometric technology. The rods of various elongations were penetrating into the target with different erosion degrees in the implemented initial impact conditions. The possibilities of further processing of records for verification of collision processes computational models of steel rods and steel targets within the speed range accomplished in the experiments are proposed in this paper by the example of the previously published primary acceleration-time experimental data.
