Effect of an Explosive Charge with a Shell Close to a Metallic Plate
Abstract
The reaction of an explosive charge close to a structural metallic plate is a strong threat for a ship. This situation is able to occur during the handling of the ammunition inside and can lead to the plate tear. The problem of the interaction of a naked explosive charge in contact with a metallic plate has been studied previously. In the following work, we elaborate an analytical model in the goal to quantify the induced effects by the detonation of an explosive charge with a shell on a metallic plate. In this way, we used the same main hypothesis than developed in the previous study.
