A New Model for Experimental Modeling of High-Explosive Warheads
Abstract
This document deals with the experimental modeling of high-explosive warheads. This type of modeling is very common in weapons programs because it is implemented as soon as it is necessary to study the effects of explosive devices. These models are used in lethality and vulnerability codes to assess weapon performance and the vulnerability of combat systems. This publication is about creating a new model which, unlike the classic Z-data model [1] contains the characteristics of each fragment. We will refer about it as the FLE model ("Fichier Liste d’Eclats" in French) and present it through this document, as well as the potential gains related to its use through examples treated with the two types of modeling.
