Behaviour of Binary, Ternary and Tertiary Blended Concrete Exposed to High Temperature and Moisture by Steam

Abstract


This project is especially carried out for “Dyeing Mills”. Dyeing mills are important part of Gujarat’s textile industry and in particular Surat. The major problem faced by these industries structure, is degradation of concrete at a pretty early age. Average life expectancy of structure is only around 15-20 years which is very less compared to other structures. To control the permeability and porosity of concrete a mix design of M30 (according to IS 10262:2009) was made. Cement was replaced by flyash, metakaolin and silica fume to make for different blended concrete and corrosion resistance, strength characteristic and durability was found.
