A Brief Analysis of the Types and Characteristics of Scientific Research Burnout of College Teachers

Abstract


Nowadays in China, because many colleges and universities pay more attention to scientific research and take less account of teaching, teachers are under great pressure in scientific research, which easily leads to the scientific research burnout. It was suggested that the scientific research burnout belongs to the category of job burnout, but it is a new form which means college teachers can’t adapt to the current scientific research evaluation system, having difficulties in finishing research targets. According to observations and interviews, college teachers' scientific research burnout is divided into three types, corresponding to different groups, with different psychological characteristics and solutions.
