Analysis of Reliability and Validity of Questionnaire of College Volunteers Participating in Home-based Care of Old People

Abstract


Objective: The questionnaire of college volunteers participating in the community service for home-based care of old people was prepared. The reliability and validity was analyzed and the evaluation tools for testing the willingness of college volunteers participating in the community service for home-based care of old people were provided. Methods: The related literatures were analyzed based on the theoretical research, and the questionnaire of college volunteers participating in the community service for home-based care of old people, including 4 dimensions such as spiritual consolation, rights protection by law, life care and health care, was prepared. The 470 college volunteers were selected as the subject of the survey and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire was evaluated. Results: The Cronbach’s α coefficients of the questionnaire was 0.899. The split-half reliability for the questionnaire was 0.828. The S-CVI/Ave of the questionnaire was 0.960. The cumulative explanatory variable of 4 common factors was 63.454%. Conclusion: The questionnaire of college volunteers participating in the community service for home care of old people have good reliability and validity, suitable for investigating the willingness of college volunteers participating in the community service for home-based care of old people and nursing needs.
