3D Reconstruction and 3D Point Cloud Compression

Abstract


3D reconstruction and 3D Point Cloud Compression of image sequences is an important application in computer graphics and image processing, especially in biomedical engineering. Based on the introduction of the basic principle of 3D reconstruction, this paper presents a simple and easy implementation process of 3D reconstruction, and focuses on the key technologies of point cloud acquisition, finally, the future research directions of 3D Point Cloud Compression is discussed.
