Design of Measuring Multi-physics Integrative Parameters Diagnostic Test System for Electromagnetic Launch

Abstract


An experimental system of electromagnetic launcher (EML) always consists of a large-scale pulse power supply (PPS) and a railgun launch device. And it is a complex system, involving multi-physical fields, for example electric field, magnetic field, electromagnetism field, temperature field, stress field etc. The multi-physical measuring parameters are also needed to consider and obtain synchronously. A high accuracy measuring system for testing various physical parameter signals has been designed and developed to serve for the EML tests. A complete range of measurement methods about pulse current, pulse voltage, muzzle velocity, instant multi-spectral temperature measurement, fiber Bragg grating strain transient test, and imaging diagnostics, etc. has been studied and applied. It provides the effective experimental methods for mechanism researching and EML performance detecting.
