Effect on Ballistic Characteristics of Finned Rocket Due to Surface Wind and Its Correction

Abstract


In this paper, the effect on ballistic characteristics of a finned rocket due to surface wind is studied in the complex plane. The angle of attack equation is established including the cross motion and roll equation. The ballistic characteristics of the parameters such as θ , ψ , 1 r δ, 2 r δ , α ϕ, 2 ϕ,γ, X and Z are simulated and analyzed. The simulation results show that the surface wind would arouse sizeable scatter at the initial trajectory because of the low flight velocity and surface wind field. A correction method is advanced to decrease the dispersion of the finned rocket by using the energy and aerodynamic control method, and the correction formulas are given to increase the firing accuracy.
