Chinese Turnout Crack Monitoring System of High-speed Railway

Abstract


Turnout maintenance is one of the most difficult missions in high speed railway maintenance. The real-time monitoring for high-speed turnouts is a great technical support for the turnout working state controlling and safety. Based on the principle of primary safety monitoring and secondary state monitoring, the high-speed railway turnout monitoring system has many technical features, such as the economy, reliability, openness, maintainability and applicability. Consisting of the sensor data acquisition module, the site monitoring extension unit, the turnout monitoring host, the monitoring center, the users platform and the transmission network, the monitoring system realizes the real-time monitoring of the rail crack. Based on the acoustic emission technology and PZT sensing technology, the monitoring system solves the key problems of the on-line and real-time rail crack monitoring. Verified by the site practice, the turnout monitoring system proves to be safe, reliable and applicable, which can realize the real-time alarming for the rail crack growth and meet the great demands for the service safety of Chinese high-speed railway turnout.
